For those who would like to access our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and live too far away to commute, the Abilene Behavioral Health Lodge offers the perfect solution. The Lodge, a self-contained, dormitory-style facility, is located on the Abilene Behavioral Health campus, and affords its residents the opportunity to have a safe environment while learning and developing new, healthier ways of living. Individuals may be referred to the PHP and the Lodge by a general practitioner, psychiatrist, psychologist, or other behavioral health professional.
Individuals staying at the Lodge – if in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – will attend programming Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday from 1:30 to 6:15 p.m. If in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), they will attend programming Monday through Friday from 9:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m if they are on campus. Lodge patients are free to come and go after programming hours and until 10:00pm on weeknights.
Room and board, as well as three meals per day, are provided for Lodge patients. Conversely, medication is not provided for patients in the Lodge, as they are responsible for bringing their own medications with them. Their medications are self-administered under supervision by qualified staff, and are kept in a locked area the remainder of the time.
