The Abilene Behavioral Health Adult Program provides a variety of services created to address the needs of men and women ages 18 and older. Before we decide on any type of treatment we conduct a comprehensive assessment, which includes psychiatric evaluations, clinical interviews leading to intensive differential diagnosis and a clinical evaluation that expands upon the information we obtained in the clinical interviews. All of this information is put together into an integrated representation of the difficulties each individual is facing.
We don’t stop there however. Abilene is dedicated to getting to know each adult who comes to us for help as a unique individual with special strengths and abilities. We see each person as far more than a collection of symptoms and believe the only truly successful treatment approach is one that takes the complete person into account when determining a course of action. We also respect you and recognize that you are the best source of information about your needs, preferences, characteristics and viewpoints. We take a collaborative approach to everything we do and work with you when deciding what level of treatment is most appropriate for where you’re at and when creating a specific treatment plan to address your issues.
We focus on a mind/body approach to address the specific and unique needs of each individual, using specialized programs to provide families with better lives. We treat a wide range of psychiatric and substance related disorders, as well as co-morbid disorders or conditions in which a psychiatric and substance abuse disorder occur together.
